Whether you are moving into a new home or just bored of the one you are in, redecorating is pricey… but it’s not astronomical when you do it yourself 🙂

Why not try a few of these DIY ideas, brought to you by Better Moves:

Get a few wooden blocks, paint them in exciting, complimentary colours, grab a few old utensils and stick them onto the boards with some heavy duty glue.

Whether you are a new mom or even an aunty, footprints on painters canvas is super cute! You can use as baby’s nursery decor, hands and feet! All you need:
•Painters canvas (any size you want – above: 8×8)
•Baby safe ink pad (available at most arts & crafts stores)
•acrylic paint (light pastel colours works best)
•painters tape (if you want clean edges)

Cute little tea tray which was an old school brown wood.
Apply coat of white spraypaint.
Find a decal or print that you like and apply it.
Spray or apply varnish if it is a paper print.

Add a chalkboard vinyl decal or apply some chalkboard paint onto cupboards to create this fabulous control centre.

TIME, KIDS, BROOM STICKS, RESHUFFLING… all these things inevitably end up in bruised and battered furniture.

But fret-not!

BetterMoves has a quick and easy, not to mention inexpensive, means of bringing bruised and battered furniture back to its former glory days!

fix damaged furniture

This quick trick comes from the Lily and Thristie from

What you need is:

Just mix together and dip a rag into the mixture. Then, just wipe your furniture down with it. This will completely eliminate those nips and make the furniture look nearly new again. And, because the vinegar and oil are not bad for the furniture, you can wipe it down as often as you like. If you have old coffee tables or any other furniture at home that needs a little pick me up, this is a great way to give it a new look again. It makes it very shiny and well-polished and not at all like something that you picked up for pennies at a yard sale.
